111.1 Product Overview

HCRZ-LD100mm wave radar adopts FMCW mode, non-contact installation design, small volume, and compact structure. High precision, low power consumption, strong anti-interference ability, suitable for water level monitoring such as lakes and rivers, mountain flood warning, water storage pools, and sewage pipelines.

When working, the water level gauge detection plane is parallel to the horizontal plane. By emitting radar waves to the horizontal plane and analyzing and calculating the echo reflected by the horizontal plane, the precise distance value between the product detection plane and the horizontal plane and the water level value are obtained.

This product has the following features:

FMCW frequency modulated continuous wave mode ranging.

Distance measurement accurate to the millimeter.

Small size, convenient for customers to install quickly and easily, easy to disassemble.

Non-contact radar measuring system, effectively reducing interference in harsh environments, achieving maintenance-free.

2.3 Installation instructions

2.3.1 Installation Notes

 

Non-contact radar products may have inaccurate measurement data due to electromagnetic interference in a complex enclosed environment.
Please install and use this product correctly, incorrect installation methods will lead to inaccurate measurement data.

1) The product must be firmly installed after installation, and will not shake due to external factors.
2) The radar plane must be kept parallel to the surface of the water being measured.
3) The installation point and installation height must be strictly selected according to the instructions for use.

2.3.2 Selection of the installation point


1) Choose an open water surface without obstructions, floating objects, or other factors that do not affect radar waves to reduce environmental interference.
2) When near the water surface (less than 2m), it is recommended to have few or no large metal objects near the radar to reduce multiple reflection interference.


2.3.3 Selection of installation height


The installation height should be selected according to the scene. The installation height selection needs to meet the following conditions.
1) The installation height must not be less than the blind zone of the radar measurement, and must not be greater than the maximum measurement range, generally it is best to be within half of the maximum range.

The beam of the water level gauge must be fully aimed at the water surface, and it is strictly forbidden for the beam of the water level gauge to be partially or fully aimed at non-water areas.
3) It is recommended to install the water level gauge at a higher height in places with large and complex water waves, below two-thirds of the maximum range.

Please check that the equipment is intact and all parts are present in the carton before installation.

The gas guiding cable should not be bent excessively as it contains a gas guide pipe, which could cause it to break; never use the gas guiding cable as a rope for the Doppler flow meter, dragging the Doppler flow meter with the gas guiding cable;

The circular ultrasonic transducer in front of the probe cannot be impacted or scratched;

The instrument probe should avoid being exposed to the sun for a long time to prevent the temperature from being too high and causing a fault;

The acoustic doppler current meter should be regularly cleaned of silt on the ultrasonic transducer and pressure sensor in areas of high suspended sediment concentration to prevent the silt from blocking the pressure sensor.
