2、 Requirement analysis
In most irrigation areas, open channels and gate stations are not only numerous and diverse, but also geographically dispersed and remote. The operation and management method usually requires someone to be on duty when starting up, manual operation and data recording, without automation and informatization, resulting in low scheduling efficiency and difficulty in achieving unified management of the entire irrigation area. Traditional agricultural water metering in irrigation areas relies on manual observation to estimate water usage, which affects the timeliness and accuracy of water scheduling. Pump station and gate failures cannot be detected in a timely manner, which not only leads to low irrigation efficiency, but also reduces the service life of equipment. In the era of rising labor cost premiums, the cost has also been increasing year by year. According to climate analysis, there is little rainfall from October to April of the following year, and frequent droughts occur, resulting in reduced crop yields and farmers' income. To solve the problem of agricultural water shortage during this period, irrigation needs to be carried out by diverting water from rivers (reservoirs) to the mountains and then flowing naturally to the irrigation channel.
